The past few weeks, Chennai has been a low-range Cherrapunji and every morning we wake up ready to be surprised – maybe school or online class, office or work from home, sleep an extra hour and cook later and be late for everything else throughout the day.
Hey Jayanthi, I remembered to come back here to tell you that I got my other nostril pierced as well :) I was contemplating it for a while, and decided to get it done yesterday
Thanks :) it's my birthday later this month so I thought I could use a new accessory. I got 2 mookuthis as gifts, one small single stone vairam mom gave me and a poo shaped vairav mookuthi that my brother gave me from his collection over that last few years🙂
I may end up getting the other side pierced also, but not before marriage.
Oh nice! Same with Amma. She wanted me to do it after class 10 . Back then I felt it was old-fashioned. It's been a little over a month, and I can;t imagine my face without a mookuthi. I see all kinds of things and colors reflecting into my eyes from the diamonds. Amma wanted me to get my nose pierced, and my brother did it instead :D
Very nice blog. I don't have my nose pierced, but my little brother recently confessed to me that he's wanted to wear a mookuthi. My mom was initially against it, but finlly let him get it done before he left to come here to the US for his Masters 3 years ago. He flaunts a dainty diamond with confidence, with some hip looking earrings too. He's got a small collection of mookuthis going. Mom has been nudging me. I'm tempted, but haven't taken the plunge yet
That's really nice! You should give it a shot, that's what I tell anyone who tells me they're considering trying a mookuthi. You just have to go in and do it!
Yep after he finished college he took some time off before coming to the states to study. When he was at home he was pestering Amma that he wanted it pierced. Amma was vehemently opposed to it. Finally, 2 weeks before he left she conceded and took him to the thattaan, under the conditon that he would get the right side pierced. She gave him one of her vaira mookuthis fo wear initially. He now earns and has a small collection that he wears from, although daily wear is just a regular sparkling single stone vairam. He flaunts it well
Thanks for the encouragement ;). Mom says moonji lakshanama irukkum. Kalyanathukku nanna irukkum. I might just get it done on my birthday in Feb, mostly on the right side.
I'm glad you enjoyed “bullet train”❤️✌️. I'm begging you once more not to miss “JayaJayaJayaJaya hai” and “Mukundan unni associates “ ,which are the most recent gems from the Malayalam industry. While the latter can be enjoyed in ott, I strongly recommend seeing both in theatres if possible. You will love both 😬👍
